Feild & Crew: "Heritage Watch" Customization in Your Own Time

I'm here to launch the Field & Crew: Heritage Watch. My inspiration to design this watch came out of frustration to find a watch to match my style on different days. I found it very difficult and costly to take my watch to a jeweler to change my watch band. I wanted a watch that I could customize myself and decided to do something about it!

Inspiration & Design:

I have always been a fan of the diver watch. I set out to create my own diver watch that was timeless and could look great in any setting with the versatility of interchangeable watch bands.

My design first began as simple hand sketches.

Our leather stud bands are made of Horween Leather. Each band will be hand cut right here in the USA.

State of Project:

Currently, we have a fully functioning prototype watch. We have completed the design phase and tested functionality. We have selected and secured a leading manufacturer of wrist watches that has been in business for over 50 years for our components. Should we exceed our goal, mass production will not be a problem.

We are currently seeking funding through Kickstarter to begin full scale production of the Heritage watch. We will also use funds to acquire materials, extra watch components, hire help in the USA and design our website.

It will take about 50-60 days for production. Backers can expect to receive their pledge gifts at the end of September.

Risks and challenges 

This project is well past a napkin sketch. It has taken a very long time and many hours to get to this point. This project was launched after a year of designing/testing our smart pin system to ensure a high quality product that was functional. This project was launched after a fully functioning prototype watch and smart pin system was complete to limit risks and challenges that are present during designing and initial manufacturing phases.

While most would worry about being able to meet demand, the manufacturer we have sought out has been in business a very long time and has ensured us that he will not have a problem meeting demand should it exceed our expectations.

The journey has been long and now we need your pledges to bring the Heritage watch into production.
