MOCA x LEVI Art in The Street Exhibition

The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) and denim giant Levi’s recently produced a limited denim collection. With designs from 10 renowned artists and subjects in the current Art in the Streets exhibit, Levi’s classic Denim Trucker Jacket has become the canvases for these artists to execute very extraordinary and completely original artworks. "Break It Down" by NeediCare

Clever, refreshing and thought provoking is the way I would describe the young Brooklyn bred rapper by the name of NiC, an acronym for "Need I Care" . The song and the video logical mirror each other in a very savvy way, they both embody a soulful vibe that is missing in Hip Hop today. The song is literally "a success story in reverse", NiC reaches a level of success in the first verse and by the third verse he takes us back to the present day hunger that he has to make it as an artist. We see this represented in the video with two females. The first whom is late for their meeting represents "success" and the second who is seen the studio with NiC represents his "love" for music. Watch and see how NiC pushes one away two gain the other with a great twist at the end!
