FORTUNE FIVE CLOTHING Interview

For those of you you haven't heard of Fortune Five Clothing, I am proud to introduce them to you. I will be featuring the brands lattes lookbook along with an exclusive interview with the creator Chayanne Alvarez. They are going to be one of the hottest things to come out of Miami. Peep the line and the interview below. Enjoy!

1. What was your inspiration to start Fortune Five Clothing?

Well after getting into fashion years prior to the birth of fortune five, I was overly inspired from clothing lines such as Billionaire boys club, Bape, & Versace which generated the spark into starting my own line. After understanding the stories behind these designers lines I found it a lot easier finding myself within the fashion world and creating concepts for the line, which utltimatley lead to an American history theme. Being that history is my favorite subject, it was natural for me to come up with ideas for Fortune Five T-shirts making it aware to the youth that history tends to repeat its self and in the hopes of young people taking initiative in making a change.

2. What is your ultimate goal for the brand and when will you like to achieve that goal?

Lol, like Kanye west once said there's always room to make something better and that everything is based on opinions, especially in fashion were trends could last a year or even last week. so with that being said my goal is to stay as relevant to our fans and the hopes of collaborating with highly respected fashion designers mainly Nigo.

3. Who is you biggest fashion inspiration?

Well my introduction to the fashion world was around 2002 by Nigo, the creator and founder of A Bathing ape. He opened my eyes to another light, plus his collections were groundbreaking and phenomenal which stimulayed me in high school with the hopes
of making something as incredible as he did in fashion one day.

4. How much input do you have on all the designs?

I input 100% of what Fortune Five is made of. From designs to the logos, but I do have a lot of help by close friends of mine. Especially Tyrone Honroe, who is one of the models for Fortune Five and Marketing Promoter.

5. What steps are you taking to expand Fortune Five Clothing?

Well, were making sure we cover all boutiques in Miami by the end of this year and hopefully get some in stores in LA and in New York. In addition, our street team is trying to get with all the big/special events in Miami to promote the face of Fortune Five a little more.

6. I read in another interview you did that you do music as well and you have a mixtape coming out called "Remember Me". How do you balance your passions for music and fashion?

Yes! Unfortunately its been a bit of a delay with the release for the mixtape but i hope for it to be pushed out by the beginning of May, definitely worth hearing and it'll be available on FORTUNE FIVE CLOTHING as far as balancing my passion for music and fashion there really isn't any special treatment i give music that i don't give to fashion or vice versa. I feel I you want a great outcome out of any project they should both be given 200% for people to understand the passion and realness behind your art.

7. Which celebrity would you love to see wearing Fortune Five Clothing?

Lol I know this is the last person people wold expect but I would love for Mike Epps to wear Our "barackin it since '09" Obama tee. It's just for the plain fact that I love comedy and it would just be hilarious to what Mike Epps would say about our Fortune Five tee shirts.

8. What are your favorite brands?

Too many to name, BBC Ice Cream, BAPE, Versace, Marc Jacob, Gucci, Betsy Johnson, channel, Yves Saint Laurent, just to name a few.

9. What is it about Fortune Five Clothing that is going to set you apart from other urban designers?

I think the big thing that separates Fortune Five from Other brands is that a lot of other lines tend to bite off/bootleg other designers styles and trends namely from BBC and Bape who have originated new color ways of sneakers, tee shirts, etc. So Fortune Five is all that has inspired me with real feeling from what i grew up with and soaked in living in Miami. it's what I like to call the "beach Bum" movement basically meaning that "your dreams are just laying under your toes" which implies that whatever your heart desires could be yours of course with good work ethics. I grew up a rocker listening to bands like Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Sound Garden, and being influenced by hip hop at a young age with artist such as A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang, Snoop Dogg and Nas brings a little bit of everyone's styles to bring a unified collective yet an "out of this world" look that formed the style of Fortune five.

10. So what do you want the people to know about Fortune Five Clothing and what do you hope for them to get out of wearing your
clothing?

I want them to know that this is it! when you look at us and you look at are clothes you'll become part of
our movement and i hope all our fans and supporters enjoy and go purchase the great products we have available in our website at FORTUNE FIVE CLOTHING
